Courage California has endorsed Tina McKinnor for Assembly District 62, which will have its special election primary in Los Angeles on April 5th.
McKinnor is a longtime community leader – and partner to Courage California – who has worked on the ground and in the Capitol to pass the bills and elect leaders our communities deserve and demand.
“Tina McKinnor has a clear vision for championing the communities of Los Angeles and California in the state legislature. She has worked on the frontlines to build coalitions to fight for working families, and she is passionate about improving the lives of our most marginalized communities. McKinnor has a strong record of delivering for people as a community leader, and she will continue to do so as an assemblymember in Sacramento,” said Irene Kao, Executive Director at Courage California.
The race will begin with a primary April 5, followed by a runoff if no candidate receives a majority. The runoff would take place during the June 7 statewide primary.
