Steve Phillips is the national bestselling author of “How We Win the Civil War: Securing a Multiracial Democracy and Ending White Supremacy for Good”
Sacramento, Calif. – Courage — It Looks Good On You!, a Courage California production that is dedicated to a California that works for us all, launched Season Two (2) with a new episode titled “Participating in Democracy is how we Protect Democracy” on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Season two of Courage — It Looks Good On You! kicks off with an important conversation with guest Steve Phillips, author of “Brown Is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution Has Created a New American Majority” and the newly released national bestselling book “How We Win the Civil War: Securing a Multiracial Democracy and Ending White Supremacy for Good,” and host of the podcast “Democracy in Color with Steve Phillips.” In the premiere episode titled “Participating in Democracy is how we Protect Democracy,” Steve Phillips is joined by Irene Kao, executive director of Courage California. Together they set the stage for the upcoming 2024 election, discussing the civil war of our country’s past – and present, and what it will take to protect democracy moving forward.
“From the very beginning, there was a ferocious assault on voting rights and a great clarity on the side of the right that they need to suppress democracy, and they have to stop people from voting, if they’re going to win,” said Steve Phillips during his interview with Irene Kao.
